RULES

Organisation - Sections

The Print Section specialises in printed images and the On-Screen Section specialises in projected images.

Each Section is organised by a sub-commit= tee (of the Society’s Committee) of seven members plus any ex-officio members. The relevant Exhibition Secretary and two other members are nomina= ted to each sub-committee by the Society’s Committee.

Each sub-committee appoints from its memb= ers a Chairman and a Secretary. T= he Section Secretaries are ex-officio members of the Society’s Committee= .

Organisation – Groups

At members’ request the SocietyR= 17;s Committee may form special interest Groups and may appoint a Group Leader to co-ordinate each Group’s activities.= The Society’s Committee may determine if a Group is a Society Group or a Section Group. A G= roup Leader shall be an ex-officio member of the relevant sub-committee or the S= ociety’s Committee. Group Leaders will advise the relevant sub-committee or the Society’s Committee of the Groups’ activities.

Each Group Leader will account to the Treasurer of the Society for any income or expenditure of the Group.

Meetings

All Members are entitled to attend any Section meeting. All Members, except Associate Members, are entitled to attend any Group meeting. Attendance at Group meetings may be limited and is by arrangement with the Group Leader.

There will be a minimum of 12 Main Societ= y, and 10 meetings of each Section per year.

Exhibition

There will be an Annual Exhibition of members’ work organised by the Print and Projected Image Exhibition Secretaries. The Society̵= 7;s Committee appoints the Exhibition Secretaries and makes the rules for the Exhibition. Trophies and Awar= ds may be awarded to encourage participation and recognise work of merit. Associate Members are not eligible= to enter work for the Annual Exhibition. The Society’s Committee may organise other displays of members’ work from time to time.

Bulletin

The Bulletin will be published four times= a year to inform members of news, views, activities and articles of interest. The Bulletin Editor= is appointed by the Society’s Committee and is responsible for the edito= rial content, preparation and publishing of the Bulletin. Editorial policy is set by the Society’s Committee.

Website

The Society will maintain a Website to provide information to members and non members and to display portfolios of members work. The Web master = and Web Editor are appointed by the Society’s Committee and are responsib= le for the editorial content, preparation and publishing of the Website. Editorial policy is set by the Society’s Committee.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are payable on 1 April of e= ach year.

The Society’s Committee reviews and sets the Subscriptions annually.

From the 1 April 2007 subscriptions are:

Ordinary Members = &nb= sp; = £= 40

Ordinary Members (Country concession) &= nbsp; &nbs= p; £25

Associate Members = &nb= sp; = &nb= sp; £20

Junior Members = &nb= sp; = &nb= sp; £6

Concessions

Country Concession<= span style=3D'font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'> – applie= s to Ordinary Members who live further than 25 miles from the Society’s headquarters. NB Members livi= ng in the Bradwell/Burnham-on-Crouch Peninsula are not eligible for the Country Concession.

New Members’ Concession – subscriptions for those joining the Society between 1st January and end of February for the current season are:
