Studio Group

This specialist interest Group caters for photographers with an interest in all aspects of studio photography but especially people photography.

The Group meets monthly indoors from September to April and outdoors, on location, in the summer.  Indoors there are usually two “sets” with a range of models, male and female, old and young, experienced and inexperienced.  Often an evening will have a theme when the models are invited to dress and make-up for the occasion.

The Society has recently bought a new lighting set and members supplement this with their own equipment.  Film or digital cameras can be used and it is usual to provide some prints from each session to the models for their portfolios.

There is always a number of knowledgeable and experienced members present each evening who are happy to offer help and advice to beginners and improvers.  The Group has a friendly atmosphere which encourages new workers and those wishing to “try their hand”.

There is a small charge of £5 for modelling fees and to cover expenses.
