New Members Group

The aim of the "New Member Days Out" is to encourage the participation in a day's photography in various locations and at different times during the day; followed later by an evening meeting to discuss the day out and view the work taken.    The days are attended by more experienced members who are on hand to offer advice and assistance as required.   They are designed not only for those new to photography but also for those who may be experienced photographers but new to the society having joined within the past 2 years.   The aims of the group are to:

• Encourage new members to get out and use their cameras
• To encourage members to explore the world around them in photographic terms
• To provide an informal atmosphere in which members can interact and get to know fellow members and exchange ideas
• To give assistance to those who require it on various topics such as
• Camera controls
• Picture composition
• Lighting conditions
• Post processing & printing

The group will provide a gallery on the IDPS website on which work taken during the days can be displayed
