Help for New Members and Beginners

There is an email facility for anyone needing help or information about techniques, equipment, Photoshop etc. or any aspect of the Society by emailing: help@idps.org.uk.  The Society has a panel of members willing to give advice by email or in one-to-one sessions.

Beginners Workshops

A series of Workshops for beginners and new members will start early in the new season in September.  The sessions are for beginners to club photography or members who may want to, for example, change from film photography to digital.

It is assumed that attendees have little or no experience when it comes to using a camera or processing the final image. Topics will include camera controls, computer use and Photoshop, composition and aesthetics, studio work, and presentation of images as prints or projected images.

How to enter IDPS competitions and Exhibition will be explained.

Topics for follow-up sessions will be set by attendees themselves so that it meets their own needs.

The Workshop Leader is David Robinson ARPS. He may be contacted by email at help@idps.org.uk
