George Farthing Trophy

Entry Rules

The trophy is awarded annually to the winner of a competition

for the best Landscape or Seascape image.

Rules:

  1. TWO images may be entered per entrant, each of which may be a slide or a digital image.
  2.  Images should not be more then two years old, not been used as part of an entry in the Steeds or Nacton Cup and not been accepted in an IDPS exhibition.
  3. Each image must have a title.
  4. Slide entries – Each slide should be marked with the entrants name at the top, a title at the bottom and a large spot in the bottom left hand corner with the slide viewed correctly.
  5. Digital entries –

a. Digital images should be supplied in JPEG format on a CD,USB stick or emailed to dpicompsec@idps.org.uk.  Each disc should be clearly labelled with the entrant’s name(s).

b. Images should be sized to fit within 1400 x 1050 pixels.

c. On the CD, the images should be in a folder called George Farthing.

d. The name of each image file in the folder, should be constructed from Entrant’s Name + Title    e.g  Joe Bloggs  Dales Landscape.

e. All constituent parts of a digitally manipulated image must be the sole work of  the entrant.
