George Farthing Trophy

Entry Rules

The trophy is awarded annually to the winner of a competition

for the best Landscape or Seascape image.


  1. TWO digital images may be entered per entrant.
  2. Images should not be more than two years old, not been used as part of an entry in the Steeds or Nacton Cup and not been accepted in an IDPS exhibition.
  3. Each image must have a title.
  4. Digital entries –

a. Digital images should be supplied in JPEG format and emailed to  Each disc should be clearly labelled with the entrant’s name(s).

b. Images should be sized to fit within 1600 x 1200 pixels.

c. On the CD, the images should be in a folder called George Farthing.

d. The name of each image file in the folder, should be constructed from Entrant’s Name + Title    e.g  Joe Bloggs  Dales Landscape.

e. All constituent parts of a digitally manipulated image must be the sole work of  the entrant.
