The Society encourages members to enter the annual cup and trophy competitions, which are awarded in the following categories:
The Holbrook Trophy for a panel of six monochrome prints (Annual Exhibition definition of monochrome applies)
The Clover Cup for a panel of six colour prints
The Roslyn Cup for a creative or imaginative panel of four prints in monochrome or colour
The Steeds Cup for a set of eight colour projected images which best exhibits all round photographic ability.
The Nacton Cup for a set of five related projected images that form a set.
The George Farthing Trophy is awarded for the best landscape or seascape projected image.
General Rules for all Cup and Trophy Competitions
Entry is open to all members of the Society, except associates, but members are limited to one entry for each competition (except the George Farthing which allows two entries). Subject matter is unrestricted (except the George Farthing Trophy which is for landscape).
The award-
All prints and projected images entered are eligible for entry in the annual exhibition provided that they also conform to the conditions of entry of the Exhibition.
Prints or slides previously entered in these competitions, or accepted in previous IDPS Exhibitions, are not eligible and must not be included in entries.
The Committee reserves the right not to exhibit any image they consider unsuitable
for public display -
