General Rules for all Cup and Trophy Competitions
Entry is open to all members of the Society, except associates, but members are limited to one entry for each competition. Subject matter is unrestricted.
The award-
All prints and projected images entered are eligible for entry in the annual exhibition provided that they also conform to the conditions of entry of the Exhibition.
Prints or slides previously entered in these competitions, or accepted in previous IDPS Exhibitions, are not eligible and must not be included in entries.
The committee appoints one independent judge for the print competitions and one for each of the projected image competitions. These judges are asked to award each cup or trophy for the panel of prints or set of projected images, irrespective of subject matter, which best meet, the requirements of each competition.
Entry fees are charged for each competition to assist in covering the costs incurred by involving external judges. Entry forms can be obtained from the exhibition secretaries.
Rules for the Print Cups
Entrants are required to submit a “hanging layout” with each of their entries. This is a diagram showing how prints should be displayed as a panel.
On the back of each print, in the top left-
Prints must be mounted and adequately backed, mount size must be 50cm x 40cm . One dimension of the print must exceed 24cm. Framed prints and any print liable to damage other prints (eg Velcro pads or detached mounting tape) will be disqualified.
Prints must be less than two years old at the date of entry.
Rules for the Projected Image Cups
*Digital images should be;
Transparencies must be in 5cm x 5cm mounts, correctly spotted (when viewed correctly
and with the image upright place a spot in the bottom left-
Each set should be given a title which must be entered on the entry form.
* Change in image size for digital images for projection to comply with EAF/PAGB requirements
