Battles With Other Clubs And Societies
3 Way Battle with Lowestoft CC and Norwich & District PS - each club submits 7 monochrome
prints, 7 colour prints and 7 slides.
Battle with Clacton CC - both clubs submits 15 prints and 15 slides.
Battles on alternate years, with the Gibraltar PS and Ipswich PS, Queensland, Australia
- 25 slides from each club. (6 people, 6 nature, 6 landscape & 7 open)
External Competitions And Exhibitions
Cambridge CC Digital Projection - Interclub Competition - Held January each year
at Harston Village Hall - Entry of 6 images on CD
East Anglian Shield - Interclub Competition, Hosted by Stowmarket CC - Held in November
each year at the Community Centre, Needham Market - Entry of 3 prints and 3 slides
from each club.
EAF Club Slide Competition - Held after the EAF AGM held in February each year -
Entry 30 slides (10 first round, 15 second round and 5 reserve) with top 10 clubs
from 1st round entering the 2nd round - 1st & 2nd clubs are entered for the PAGB
National Club Slide Championship which is held at Warwick in June or July.
EAF Annual Exhibition - Held in May each year - Entry by members, through affiliated
clubs of up to 4 colour prints, 4 monochrome prints and 4 slides per entrant. The
entry to the PAGB National Exhibition is chosen from those selected.
EAF Club Print Championship - Held in June each year - The two top clubs are invited
to take part in the PAGB Club Print Championship in November. Entry 10 prints 1st
round with the top 10 clubs entering a further 15 prints for the 2nd round.
Postal Slide Battle (Mersea Island Challenge Trophy) - Held January to March each
year between 10 clubs including, Clacton CC, Colchester PS, Mersea Island PS, Dingwall
CC, Rolls-Royce & Clay Cross. 1st round in two Groups of 5 clubs (10 slides per
club) - Final between top 2 clubs from each group & the best runner-up.
St.Ives Interprint Competition - held February each year with around 30 East Anglian
clubs taking part - 8 colour or monochrome prints from each club.
Selection
Images to represent IDPS are selected by the Society’s Selection Committee and all
members are invited to submit work for consideration.
