Annual Exhibition

The Annual Exhibition is staged each year, During the two weeks it is open, many local residents and friends of the Society in the Region visit to see the 500 Prints and Projected images on display. Any full member may enter up to 20 Prints and 15 Projected Images. Two independent photographers with National/International judging experience select images for display and award cups and certificates. There is a “Best in Exhibition” award selected personally by the Mayor which receives the Mayor’s Cup. A print of the winning image is presented to the Mayor. IDPS has an impressive collection of silverware and there are awards for: Landscape and Seascape, Pictorial, Portrait, Life and Photojournalism, Natural History, Record, Creative categories and there are separate sections for Beginners.
